Dr Helen Ringrow
Biography
I am Associate Professor in Contemporary Discourse. I have a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast, where I researched how ideals about femininity and the female body are constructed in French and English cosmetics advertisements. I am the author of The Language of Cosmetics Advertising (Palgrave, 2016) and co-editor of The Routledge Handbook of Language and Religion (2023) and Contemporary Media Stylistics (Bloomsbury, 2020).

- language & social justice/inequality
I have a research background in Critical Discourse Analysis and Stylistics.
